Job Overview
Seeking part time guide to deliver walking tours in Philadelphia's historic district. Tours are 90 minutes each. Must have a passion for colonial era history and Philadelphia! Excellent summer job for students, the recently retired or history aficionados! PLEASE NOTE - this position is not for regular shifts, but for help to fill in when the need arises, anywhere from 15-20 hours per week. Advanced work schedule will be provided. Prior experience leading tours preferred, but certainly not required. Script and shadowing opportunities will be provided. Excellent first job for someone interested in leading tours more regularly, or, who likes to share their love of history & Philadelphia with others! Duties

• Lead lively, informative guided tours of historic sites & landmarks
• Engage visitors through dynamic public speaking & storytelling
• Answer guest questions along the tour
• Manage time to guarantee tours start & end on time
• Requirements
• Applicants should be physically fit (prepared to deliver 1+ tours a day, walking 2-3 miles daily)
• Be comfortable leading & speaking before groups of 2-25 people
• EXCEPTIONAL communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in customer service or teaching is preferred, but not required.
• Passion for colonial era history & a love of Philadelphia!
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (rain & heat)

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
