Job Description

We’re hiring  Part-Time YORK COUNTY, PA School Bus Drivers and Driver Trainees who want meaningful work that fits into a predictable daily routine. This position follows the school calendar and operates on a  split shift —perfect for individuals who want steady hours while still having the middle of the day free.

This role is  local-only . Applicants must live within a reliable commuting distance and be available  whenever school is in session .

Schedule

• Total Hours: 4.5 hours per day (Typically 6:30AM-8:45AM & 2:00PM-4:30PM)
• Shift Type: Split shift (morning + afternoon)
• Workdays: Only when school is in session
• Midday: Off and unpaid—your time is your own

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport students to and from school
• Maintain a calm, friendly, and professional environment
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Uphold safety standards and district policies

What We’re Looking For

• Must live locally and be able to commute reliably
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass background checks and required clearances
• CDL with school bus endorsements is a plus (training available)

Trainees

• No CDL required—we provide paid training
• Strong commitment to completing the certification process
• Reliable, safety‑minded, and community‑oriented
