Job P urpose

The Sales Intern will provide direct support to Sales and Finance professionals . The position will expose the intern to a variety of assignments that will assist the Drivetrain & Morse Systems (DMS) NA Sales team in managing customer accounts and coordinating with internal other BorgWarner functional groups . 

Individual and team assignments and responsibilities will be assigned according to the needs of the S ales organization .

Key R esponsibilities

• P rocess customer contract updates through the internal contract approval process

• Coordinate Sales activities for Prototype s , supporting multiple customers ( Draft and Issue p rototype quotes, process prototype PO s , monitor prototype deliver y status with NA prototype groups )

• Distribute periodic Commodity Adjustment s to production plants for pricing updates

• Utilizes and engages with the DMS NA Sales SharePoint to foster collaboration and actively contribute to S ales process improvements and information/user management

• C oordinate with the G lobal M arketing R esearch (GMR) department for industry trend analysis

• Supports Sales forecast and L ong-Range P lan in Salesforce

• Collaborate with internal and external customers, operations, program management, global supply chain and business development

• Supports Lifecycle Management process improvement and data management (schedules/follows up on quarterly gate review meetings, adds new programs to the database as needed)

• E nrolled full-time at an accredited college or university

• Business, Marketing, Finance, or Engineering degree

• Minimum GPA: 3. 3

• Must report onsite at least three (3) days per week to our Auburn Hills Campus

• Maintain a 20-to-29-hour work week

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong o rganization al and c omprehen sive skills

• Strong knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred

• Working knowledge of AI prompting
