A growing food ingredients business is looking to appoint a Director of Sales to lead its commercial team and support the next stage of growth across the US market.
This is a newly created leadership position, taking responsibility for an established sales team while also helping shape the company's wider commercial strategy.
The business has grown organically to approximately 100 employees and is continuing to invest in its sales function, with further Technical Sales hires planned.
Lead, coach and develop a team of 4 Sales Representatives and 2 Sales Support employees
Work closely with the VP of Business Development to develop and execute commercial strategy
Drive revenue growth across existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities
Develop relationships with food manufacturers, processors and key strategic customers
Support the sales team with major accounts, negotiations and new customer development
Build stronger sales processes, accountability and pipeline management across the team
Identify opportunities to expand into new markets and product categories
Recruit and develop additional commercial talent as the sales organization grows
Collaborate closely with operations, technical, product and leadership teams
Candidates should have a strong background selling food ingredients into manufacturers.
