Job Description
- Primary Role: Locate items using order lists or scanning devices, inspect goods for damage, securely pack items into containers, and apply shipping labels.
- Work Environment: Warehouses, distribution centers, and fulfillment facilities (e.g., e-commerce, retail logistics).
- Key Metrics: Pick accuracy, packing speed, and rate of undamaged shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking: Locate items within warehouse shelves using handheld radio-frequency (RF) scanners, pick lists, or automated systems.
- Packing & Assembly: Wrap items securely (bubble wrap, packing peanuts), assemble appropriate box sizes, and place products safely to prevent transit damage.
- Labeling & Shipping: Print and apply shipping labels, packing slips, and barcodes accurately to outbound packages.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defect, damage, or wrong order details prior to final sealing.
- Inventory & Maintenance: Report stock shortages or damaged goods; maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area.
