Location:  Eden Prairie

Job Type:  Full-time

Reports To: President

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a driven and dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join our team and help expand our market presence.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with builders, architects, designers, and homeowners. This role focuses on identifying project opportunities, managing client accounts, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, results-oriented, and thrives in a client-facing, consultative sales environment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Sales

Generate new business by prospecting and cultivating relationships with builders, architects, and key influencers.

  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing, including product presentations, bids, and contract negotiation.
  • Identify project opportunities early in the design/build process to position Synergy as the preferred partner.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals, contributing to the company’s overall growth.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring an exceptional client experience.
  • Provide technical expertise and product knowledge to guide clients through product selection and specification.
  • Conduct jobsite visits and maintain a presence with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resolve client issues promptly while coordinating with inside sales, operations, and installation teams.

Market & Industry Engagement

  • Represent Synergy Products at trade shows, networking events, and industry associations.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor products, pricing, and market trends.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on emerging opportunities, product gaps, and client needs.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Proven track record in outside sales, preferably within building products, construction, or a related industry.
  • Five years’ experience in sales, construction sales a bonus.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process, from lead generation to closing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
