Job Summary

We are seeking a bilingual Insurance Agent / Retail Center Sales Consultant in Lakeland, FL for a contract/temporary opportunity in the health insurance industry. This customer-focused role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys helping individuals compare coverage options, understand plan benefits, and select health insurance solutions that fit their needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Consult with prospective and existing customers on health insurance products, benefits, plan options, and coverage needs.
- Conduct plan comparisons, recommend appropriate solutions, and support customers through the sales and enrollment process.
- Meet or exceed individual sales, retention, follow-up, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Manage leads through outbound calls, appointments, walk-in traffic, phone inquiries, and electronic customer interactions.
- Identify at-risk customers, provide retention-focused solutions, and cross-sell additional products or services when appropriate.
- Participate in community events, networking, grassroots marketing, and local business development activities.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $24 to $26 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Lakeland, FL.
- Schedule: Flexible schedule required, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Consult with customers on health insurance plan options and recommend solutions based on individual needs.
- Manage sales activity, customer follow-up, retention opportunities, and lead relationships.
- Support community outreach, local networking, and grassroots business development efforts.
- Accurately document customer interactions, sales activity, and service outcomes.

- Active Florida 2-15 and/or 2-40 Health Insurance License required.
- Bilingual Spanish required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0 to 2 years of related sales, customer service, insurance, or transferable experience.
- Strong consultative sales, communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
- Ability to meet and exceed sales goals in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
- Professional, outgoing, goal-driven, and comfortable engaging customers in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.

Preferred Qualifications

- Health insurance sales or health insurance product knowledge.
- Outside sales, business development, networking, or community outreach experience.
- Experience supporting customer retention, cross-selling, or lead follow-up in a sales environment.
