Job Description

As a Production Associate specializing in print and auto inspection on the 3rd shift, you will play a crucial role in the label manufacturing process. Your expertise will ensure the accurate production of labels using both automated and non-automated equipment. You will be responsible for assisting in pre and post printing processes, adhering to established specifications, and maintaining production goals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of label manufacturing processes utilizing both automated and non-automated equipment.
• Assist in all pre and post printing processes associated with production jobs as directed.
• Understand client-approved proofs and associated documents to manufacture labels per established specifications.
• Set up computerized production runs and Bulk Transfer Labels using the proprietary software application CLPS, according to SOPs and WIs.
• Monitor label production processing for accuracy and completeness in accordance with SOPs/WIs while completing all daily production goals.
• Maintain daily and monthly production goals and schedules, proactively relay any obstacles encountered to management to ensure smooth operations.
• Demonstrate solid understanding and ability to troubleshoot and identify solutions to problems.
• Inspect label material during production and perform manual adjustments to avoid and/or correct printing and reorienting inconsistencies and imperfections.
• Operate equipment in a controlled manner to limit waste and defects.
• Offer process improvements to identify opportunities to improve products, processes, and environment.
• Work in an organized manner, paying close attention to detail, while maintaining a clean professional work environment.
• Ability to multi-task to optimize production while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production and general labor.
• Proficiency in machine operating and general production.
• 1 plus years in a manufacturing setting operating machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with overnight shifts from 11pm to 7:30am, Monday to Friday.

The role requires working the overnight shift from 11pm to 7:30am, Monday to Friday. The work environment is organized and professional, ensuring attention to detail and cleanliness.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bohemia, NY.

The pay range for this position is $29.90 - $29.90/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
