We’re seeking a skilled copywriter/editor to support high-visibility regional planning and policy communications. If you have a sharp editorial eye and enjoy turning complex, technical content into clear, accessible messaging, this is a unique opportunity to partner with a regional agency doing meaningful, high-impact work.
The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) is seeking an experienced copywriter or technical editor to provide ongoing part-time editorial support for high-profile regional planning and policy communications.
This flexible, primarily remote role (approximately 20 hours per week) will support MAG’s Communications Division by proofreading and editing technical reports, committee agenda materials, policy documents, and other public-facing communications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience editing complex technical content while ensuring clarity, consistency, accessibility, and adherence to AP style standards.
Candidates should be comfortable working with planning, transportation, environmental, and policy-related materials and helping translate technical concepts into content accessible to a wide range of audiences.
