Job Description

Commercial / AG Loan Officer

A growing, independent bank is looking to add an experienced Commercial Lender to its team and increase market presence. The perfect candidate would be someone who has a strong background in developing and maintaining new business, along with continuing to provide an excellent customer experience. The candidate that they are looking for must have four or more years of direct banking/lending experience, along with a strong understanding of agriculture lending and credit.

Responsibilities for the Commercial Lender/Commercial Loan Officer

* Identify and cross-sell a wide range of commercial banking services by following a proactive sales and business development plan
* Develop new loans and manage the existing loan portfolio
* Maintain an ongoing business development program to assist existing customers and solicit new customers to the bank
* Monitor the loan portfolio & loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect from past-due accounts
* Experienced lenders are expected to manage large and complex commercial loan customers

Qualifications for the Commercial Lender/Commercial Loan Officer

* 4+ years of direct commercial lending experience (AG experience preferred)
* Must have a proven track record in business development
* Strong understanding of Credit Analysis and Underwriting
* Proven record of strong customer assistance
* Knowledge of Bank regulations of lending and debt collection
* Preferably a 4-year degree
