Job Overview

American Guard Services (AGS) is seeking professional, dependable, and highly motivated  Armed Security Officers  to join our team in Tampa, Florida. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing exceptional customer service and protecting client property, assets, and personnel.

This position requires individuals who are alert, professional in appearance, and capable of making sound decisions in a fast-paced security environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security services at assigned government facilities
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas
• Monitor premises and report suspicious activity
• Control access to the property and verify credentials as needed
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns promptly
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Maintain a professional presence and deliver excellent customer service
• Follow all company and client policies, procedures, and post orders

Requirements

Required Certifications & Licenses:

• Valid Florida Class D Security Officer License
• Valid Florida Class G Statewide Firearm License
• Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record

Required Equipment:

• Personally owned, reliable firearm suitable for duty
• Level II or Level III duty vest (body armor)

Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
• Strong observational and report-writing skills
• Professional demeanor and appearance

Schedule Availability

Candidates must have flexible availability to work:

• Days
• Evenings
• Overnight shifts
• Weekends
• Holidays
